Shannon and Eric were brothers — Logan's father and Josh's father. They started this. Between the two of them there were more children than the two of us; we are simply the two who wanted to carry it on, one from each brother. That is the whole company.
We work in locust because these mountains have always worked in locust. It is the hardest wood in North America, it is well known around here as the wood you use when a thing has to last, and it is getting harder to find every year. Drawknifed — bark off, and the soft outer layers off with it — it will sit outdoors for around a decade and indoors for twenty years and more.
Because there are two of us, we take fewer jobs than a larger outfit would. It also means the person who walks your property is the person who drawknifes the wood and sets the posts, and the person who picks up the phone afterward. There is nobody in between.
We are building this to hand down. That is not a slogan — it is the reason we would rather do one fence properly than four of them fast.
If that is the kind of shop you want to hire, come and walk the property with us. It costs nothing.
